Lionel Messi set to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami

Football great Lionel Messi will join American side Inter Miami after finishing his contract with the French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentina international rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal and his return to his former club Barcelona is also unlikely.

The Miami deal includes collaboration with brands like Adidas and Apple.

The deal with Inter means that the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner would play outside Europe for the first time in his career.

Though he reportedly wants to stay in Europe, but offers he received were not satisfactory.

The La Pulga already owns a house in Miami, which he rents out.

At Paris, he won the Ligue 1 championship in both seasons but went out in the Champions League last 16, which means his time in France was not seen as a huge success.

He netted 32 goals in 75 games for the club - and ended this season with 16 goals and 16 assists in Ligue 1.

Messi’s two-year contract comes to an end this summer and both parties agreed to go their separate ways.
