Mob attacks Ahmadi place of worship at night in Sargodha

An 118-year-old place of worship for the Ahmadi community has been desecrated in Sargodha.

On April 16, at around 11pm men came to smash the minarets and the dome of the Ahmadiyya place of worship in Ghooghiat. “All this happened while the police were present,” said spokesman Amir Mehmood.

“Attacking and demolishing Ahmadiyya places of worship by mobs and government officials is a blatant violation of Pakistan’s constitution and Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani’s decision of 2014,” said the spokesman. “This must stop immediately and religious minorities must be protected.”

Ahmadi places of worship were attacked in February in Karachi.
