PTI gets a new party anthem and Imran Khan is all ears

After changing its slogan from Tabdeeli to Haqeeqi Azadi, the PTI has come up with a new song that speaks about the right to freedom. It is written by party leader Abrarul Haq.

“Abrar ul Haque has again come up with a great tarana about Haqeeqi Azadi. Only truly free (Azad) nations fulfill their immense human potential to rise & become Iqbal’s Shaheen,” PTI chief Imran Khan said in a tweet while sharing the anthem.

Hai Haq Hamara Azadi has bits of Imran Khan’s speeches in it. Police action during the PTI’s first long march earlier this year and journalists’ arrest are also part of the two minutes forty-eight seconds anthem.

PTI’s journey from “Tabdeeli” to “Haqeeqi Azadi” has been tumultuous, as the party which claimed to bring change was ousted from power after three years. Imran, whose government was toppled via a vote of no-confidence, describes the incumbent government as “imported”.

The former ruling party has admitted that they had been short of fulfilling their main promise of accountability to the people. Imran and others have admitted that they could put corrupt politicians behind bars during their tenure. But, they also defend themselves by quoting health card, housing loans, and free meal programmes to prove their peformance.

It appears that the PTI has multi talented leaders as former Sindh governor Imran Ismail in the past has also sung a couple of songs for the party.
