Instant messaging giant WhatsApp has launched its new “message react” feature.The feature currently allows users to respond with six emojis: thumbs up, love, laugh, wow, sad, and thanks. The feature works similar to Facebook and Messenger reactions.

Metaverse CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to his Facebook to announce the rollout of this new WhatsApp feature.

The new feature is currently available to users with the latest update, however, it will take some time to be available to all WhatsApp users globally.

He further added in the comment section that the hand gesture emoji is included to express gratitude and that there will be more options available soon.

Zuckerberg recently announced that WhatsApp was in the testing phase for some new features, including features like ‘WhatsApp Communities’ and ‘voice message updates.’
