Overseas Pakistanis, Imran Khan’s next audience after Mianwali

Islamabad. Overseas Pakistanis, whom PTI chief Imran Khan has described as the country’s “biggest asset”, will be his audience on Saturday (today) in a virtual address where he is scheduled to speak at 6pm.

The PTI has expedited its public campaign against the government, which according to them is “imported” and “part of a foreign conspiracy hatched to topple” their government. The former ruling party on Friday staged a rally in Mianwali, the home ground of Imran Khan, and reiterated its demand for early elections to “stabilise” the country.

Screens have been installed across the main cities of the country – including one in the Fatima Jinnah (F/9) Park in Islamabad. According to the local administration, Imran’s virtual address would begin at 6pm and preparations were underway for installing big screens, lighting, and sound systems.

The PTI in its meeting earlier had decided to install the screen in the F/9 Park. It is expected that PTI’s former MNA Ali Nawaz Awan would also attend the virtual session.
