Narendra Modi’s visit to Kashmir marked as black day

Kashmiris from both sides of line of control on Sunday observed black day to mark strong protest against the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Indian administered region of Kashmir.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference had given a call for observing the black day which was supported by Pakistan administered Kashmir region’s government.

“India has turned Kashmir into the largest prison on the earth for more than two years through communication and information blockade by the Indian forces,” said the speakers while addressing a rally.

Lambasting Modi, speakers described BJP’s Hindutva ideology a threat to regional peace and urged the United Nations to perform its due responsibilities for resolving the much-delayed Kashmir issue in line with the UN resolutions.

Modi on his first major visit to Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 inaugurated and laid the foundation of multiple development initiatives worth 200 billion Indian rupees in the Union Territory, reported Times of India.
