Mayhem in Multan as tailors say ‘houseful’ ahead of Eid

Blue signs with the words ‘houseful’ glare at you even before you make your way into a tailor’s shop in Multan. Once inside you are firmly told you have missed the deadline to get your clothes stitched, as tailors only take bookings till the second Ashra of Ramazan which ended on Saturday (April 23).

Eid is synonymous with happiness unless you are getting clothes stitched for the occasion, as many are finding out in Multan, reported Aaj News.

Disgruntled customers are beside themselves, as many have already bought cloth in hopes of getting a suit stitched and may now have to spend more to buy ready-made clothes.

While tailors are claiming that the second Ashra rule is something they have followed for years because they often do not have enough people to ensure all the clothes are stitched before Eid.
