Will not resign under any circumstances, says PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he will never resign under any circumstances and will fight till end, adding that he would surprise the opposition a day before no-confidence motion against him.

Talking to the reporters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the premier said that his trump card was that he had not laid any of his cards yet.

Khan said that the opposition had laid all of their cards as they were still under pressure, adding that the opposition didn’t even know how many people it would have left on the day of the no-trust move.

The prime minister said that opposition's politics was coming to an end and the coalition would announce its support for the PTI-led government after the March 27 public gathering.

"The battle has just begun. I will emerge victorious in this battle," he said.

He said he would never compromise on corruption under any circumstances, as he slammed PML-N and PPP for resorting to the politics of "corruption".

The prime minister said he would "never" hold a consultative meeting with PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif. “Why would I sit with big criminals like Shehbaz Sharif,” he added.

He further added that he had good relations with the Pakistan Army and also clarified that his remarks on neutrality were misinterpreted. He added that he alluded to neutrality in the context of good and evil.

The premier said the army was wrongly criticised, adding that a strong army is a prerequisite for a strong country.

Talking about Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Prime Minister said that he is the 12th player and now it is time to remove him from the team.

The premier said that the presidential reference has been sent to the Supreme Court to ensure that votes are not sold and horse trading is eliminated from our political system.

Confirming his meeting with Nisar, PM Imran Khan said that his relationship with the former interior minister was 40 years old.
