Maryam Nawaz expresses solidarity with missing journalist Mudassar Naru's family

Senior journalist Mudassar Naru is still missing and it has been more than three years since the incident. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz has expressed solidarity with the family of the missing journalist.

Talking to media, Maryam Nawaz said that she hopes that journalist Mudassar will be released soon.

She further hoped that the child would soon be reunited with his father. However, she said that she would discuss the matter further in the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) forum as she was going there.

Mudassar Naru, a working journalist, and cameraman disappeared while on a vacation in Naran on August 20, 2018, and has not been seen since.

Naru's son Sachal was merely 6 months of age when he was picked up. Now he is three and a half years old and there is still no sign of Naru.

Mudassar Naro's wife has also been protesting for Naru's release but she died while awaiting his return.

Now Naru's son is being raised by his grandmother Rahat Bibi. Rahat Bibi is Mudassar Naru's mother.
