Pakistan records under 1,000 Covid cases for third consecutive day

Pakistan recorded less than 1,000 Covid cases for the third consecutive day as 663 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data.

With the continuous decline in positive cases of the virus, the country also recorded less number of deaths. As per the NCOC data 11 people died of the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities to 28,280 since the pandemic emerged in the country in 2020.

The daily Covid positivity rate is 1.66 per cent.

Currently, 1,913 people infected with the virus are on critical care.

With a steady decline in Covid cases and increasing pace of vaccination across the country, the NCOC further eased the coronavirus restrictions across the country.

At least 34 million people have fully vaccinated against the virus across the country.
