LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister for Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan was barred from entering the Punjab Assembly.
According to the details Firdous Ashiq Awan arrived at the Punjab Assembly to attend the oath taking ceremony of newly elected member Punjab Assembly Ahsan Saleem Baryar but was barred from entering the assembly as his name was not on the guest list.
Talking to media, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that my name was included in the list. I don't know who removed it. I am no longer an assistant or a member of the assembly.
Granting permission is the responsibility of speaker of the assembly, she added.
