Earlier today, PTI MNA from NA-246 (Karachi South-I) Abdul Shakoor Shad had said he "will not attend the budget session. The federal government has no interest in issues related to Sindh and Karachi," he added.

Speaking to Aaj News, Shad said he had requested a special package for Lyari from Prime Minister Imran Khan in the budget but was denied.

Shad said the Sindh government has announced to include a development package for the area in the upcoming provincial budget, despite losing the elections.

The representative from Lyari had written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan on 3rd June, requesting him to allocate budget for the construction of a sports complex, NADRA Mega Centre, parks, CC pavers in the internal streets, provision of water supply lines, and other development projects that have been neglected in the past.
