Inefficient and corrupt clique imposed on Pakistan: Maryam Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said Prime Minister Imran Khan is imposed on Pakistan and the incumbent government wants to arrest Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif as Gilgit-Baltistan elections are nearing.

The PML-N leader talked to media and said the inefficient and corrupt regime wants to rig the polls and the Results Transmission System (RTS) of 2018 is still being used. Why the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman has failed to hold accountability of the ringleader of Malam Jabba, Billion Tree Tsunami and flour scandals, she asked.

“Why does PM Imran want to get Shehbaz Sharif arrested by the anti-corruption watchdog? The law was misused for personal benefits. The applications filed against PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif are based on chicanery.

“A 58-volume reference was filed against the opposition leader and statements of 110 witnesses were recorded but there was not a single word against Shehbaz Sharif. The PML-N president was imprisoned by the NAB for 60 days and a reference has been lodged against him. Why is it necessary now to arrest him?”

Marriyum Aurangzeb also affirmed that Shehbaz Sharif will follow every decision of the All Parties Conference (APC). NNI
