Rain likely in upper Sindh region on April 18, 19

PMD says strong westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country

Rain with thunderstorms is expected in upper/southwest Sindh on April 18 and 19, according to the weekly forecast of the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

“A strong westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country and likely to persist during next 36 hours,” the Met Office said on Sunday.

On April 18, the PMD said that rain-windstorm/thunderstorm with isolated hailstorm is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Balochistan and upper/southwest Sindh.

Moreover, rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, northeast Balochistan, upper Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on April 19.

Isolated heavy falls are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, northeast Balochistan and northeast Punjab. Hailstorm is also expected during the forecast period. Snowfall is also expected over high mountains in northern areas.
