Saudi Arabian government announces Eid ul-Fitr holidays

Holidays to begin from January 8 for public and private sectors

Saudi Arabia has announced a four-day Eid-ul-Fitr holiday for both public and private sector employees starting Monday, April 8.

The holiday will run from April 8 to April 11, with Friday and Saturday also being declared off by the government. The holiday will extend to a total of six days. 

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has also confirmed the holiday for employees to enjoy the long break.

The private and public sector employees will resume work on Sunday, April 14. 

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which will be on March 11. 

The day is regarded as a joyous occasion for Muslims all over the world. On this occasion, families and friends get together, exchange gifts, share meals, and express gratitude.
