KP chief minister’s security in-charge, son gunned down in Malakand

The security in-charge of the caretaker chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his son were among the three killed in a gun attack in Dargai area of Malakand district in KP, Levies officials said on Saturday.

The slain official, identified as Wakeel Khan was traveling with his two sons on a motorbike while an accomplice was riding another one when unidentified assailants opened fire on them, they added.

According to Levies officials, Khan, one of his two sons was killed along with the accomplice, while his second son was injured.

The injured and the bodies were moved to the hospital.

They went on to add that the Khan’s brother suffered a stroke after getting the news of the killing and died on the spot.

After the firing incident, locals in Dargai came out to protest and blocked the road in the area.
