Peshawar to Karachi: Pakistan Railways restores Awam Express

Awami Express will wrap up the journey from Peshawar to Karachi in 22 hours

Pakistan Railways has restored the Awam Express train which departed from Peshawar to its destination Karachi, the service had been shut down amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

An official of Pakistan Railway told Aaj News that trains will travel on the same route and there is no change.

“Passing across the track of the Multan, Rohri, Nawab Shah, Padidan, Gothki, and Hyderabad the Awami Express will enter in Karachi,” he said.

He informed the fare for one side of travel is Rs3900 and Rs4700 for economy class and business class tickets, respectively.

Awami Express will wrap up the journey from Peshawar to Karachi in 22 hours after departing at 8:00AM it will arrive at the destination at 6:00PM.

People were happy after the restoration of the train service as they believed that it would ease their travel.

A passenger seated inside the train appreciated the move and expressed aspiration to restore other trains that had been shut down under various circumstances.
