Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq said on Monday that the Bharatiya Janata Party would not be able to get a Hindu chief minister elected in occupied Kashmir despite the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict.

Speaking to Munizae Jahangir in Spotlight, Haq said that he considered the Indian Supreme Court’s roceedings to be ‘formal’ and fake’ and were only aimed at endorsing the presidential order.

He added that the Bharatiya Janta Party had contested the previous two elections on the back of anti-Pakistan and anti-Kashmir sentiment and it seemed it was planning on doing the same in the next election.

The Supreme Court’s decision was absolutely expected, he added.

Haq said he rejected and condemned the decision but was not disappointed because the Indian SC’s mask had fallen off with the Babri Mosque verdict.

He said that two bills presented in the Lok Sabha before the verdict had exactly shown that the Indian government was trying to preempt the SC decision.

The PM said that the Indian Supreme Court had tried to constitutionalise Narendra Modi’s fascist agenda but the attempt would fail.

He added that despite doing its best to change the demography of occupied Kashmir, Modi would not be able to get a Hindu chief minister elected.

Asked about Amit Shah’s statement about Indian claim on Azad Kashmir, Haq said that it was a fool’s dream.

He said that the Indian government had tried to act out its fantasy but the whole world had seen an Indian pilot being captured by Pakistan. He said that the people of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan’s armed forces would foil such designs again.
