Weather to remain hot and dry over the next week

The meteorological office has predicted the weather to remain hot and dry across Pakistan over the next week with scattered thunderstorms in some places.

In a weekly synoptic situation report posted on Sunday, the Met Office said that partly cloudy weather with isolated thunderstorms are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Potohar region on Monday and in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on Tuesday.

Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar and northeast Punjab could get rain on Saturday as well.

However, the weather is expected to remain dry everywhere else in the country.

While the dry spell has persisted in recent days, Met Office said that 1mm rain was recorded in Kalam, Gilgit, Drosh and Gupis.

Highest temperatures recorded on Sunday were in Nawabshah where they reached upto 43 degrees.
