Lahore Bar Association announces strike over case against secretary
Lawyers say they will not appear in courts until FIR withdrawn
The Lahore Bar Association has called for a strike in the city’s lower courts on Thursday over a case being lodged against the association’s secretary.
A case had been filed against Lahore Bar Association Secretary Umar Waqas Warraich for getting into a scuffle with police officials.
The association has summoned a general house meeting at 11am on Thursday and demanded that the FIR against its office bearer be withdrawn.
The lawyers have said that they will not appear in courts until their demands are met.
