The National College of Arts (NCA) announced on Monday its decision to start the associate degree programme in Gilgit in February 2024.
The NCA, which is renowned for its excellence in arts education, will bring its world-class expertise to the heart of Gilgit-Baltistan.
GB Chief Secretary Mohiyuddin Ahmed Wani expressed his excitement about this partnership and the positive impact it would have on the educational landscape of the mountainous region.
“This collaboration marks a milestone in our efforts to provide high-quality education in the field of arts to the talented youth of Gilgit-Baltistan,” he said in a statement.
In addition to the associate degree programme, Wani announced that a dedicated hostel was under construction to accommodate female students coming from outside Gilgit.
