PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has said that he had landed in London to attend a party meeting to discuss “legal and administrative” matters.
While speaking to reporters after the meeting in the UK capital, Shehbaz stated that he had arrived in the city on the directives of the party supremo Nawaz Sharif to participate in the party huddle.
The PML-N president headed back to London on Thursday two days after he returned to the country from the UK, raising eyebrows over the sudden change of decision among political experts.
Shehbaz had left for London earlier in the week after spending a month there. Many linked his decision to have a face-to-face meeting with his elder brother with the changing political landscape in Pakistan after the Supreme Court struck down NAB amendments.
It merits to mention that many key announcements, including the party supremo’s return to Pakistan on October 21, were made by Shehbaz.

On Friday, the PML-N president emphasised that decisions regarding all the issues had been taken.
He reiterated his claims that the public mandate was stolen from Nawaz in 2018 and described it as a “joke”. The former prime minister slammed PTI Chairman Imran Khan for setting a bad precedent in the country’s politics.
“Nawaz Sharif is arriving in Pakistan to continue the journey of development,” said Shehbaz.
Sources told Aaj News that the PML-N had a discussion related to the election campaign and Nawaz’s return.
They also had a discussion pertaining to resolving the reservations of disgruntled party leaders.
