Two killed in aerial firing incidents in Karachi on Independence Day eve

Women and children among 50 injured in different incidents

A woman was among two killed in aerial firing carried out on the eve of Independence Day in different parts of Karachi, police said on Sunday.

The deceased woman was 25 years old. She was killed near the Numaish Chowrangi area while the deceased man was identified as Abdul Wahab, a resident of Lyari.

Moreover, women and children were among 50 injured. At least 24 have been shifted to Civil Hospital while nine have been admitted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Pakistan is celebrating its 76 anniversary of Independence Day on Monday (today). The government has organised different programmes.
