Gold up by Rs6,200 to reach Rs221,000/tola

The increase came after the rupee tumbled in interbank

The price of gold surged by Rs6,200 in Pakistan as the dollar flight continued in the interbank foreign exchange market of Pakistan.

The price of gold reached Rs221,000 per tola in the domestic market of Pakistan on Tuesday after witnessing a significant increase of Rs6,200/tola.

Similarly, the price of gold 10 grammes also recorded an increase of Rs5,316 to clock in at Rs189,472 in the local market.

In the international market, gold bullion was also up by $10 per ounce to hit $1,967 per ounce.

The price of the precious metal hiked amid an increase in the value of the dollar in the interbank surging to Rs283.04 after strengthening by Rs3.77 on Tuesday.
