Moderate earhquake jolts Islamabad, Rawalpindi
The epicenter was in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region
A moderate 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Thursday morning, the first day of Eidul Azha.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the earthquake struck at 9:47am on Wednesday and its epicenter lay in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region at a depth of 170 kilometers.
No damage was reported.
