Fawad Chaudhary’s sad and disappointing faces receive backlash on social media as he joins Jahangir Tareen’s Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
Several eyebrows were raised when he first appeared on the screen after quitting Imran Khan’s PTI and joining Tareen in his quest.
The IPP was launched by Jahangir Tareen on Thursday, the former close aide of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, with an aim to give “new direction” to the country’s politics.
Several PTI deserts, who quit the Khan-led party over May 9 riots, were present during the launching of the new party.
However, Fawad Chaudhry grabbed all the attention with his expressions.
Despite having his name written on one of the front-row chairs, he chose to sit in the third row.
In clicks and video clips, his anxiety is visible. Sometimes he is seen with his hand on the face and sometimes on the forehead. His face also looked like a mirror of an internal conflict.
Social media users raised questions in comments on these pictures whether other leaders, including Fawad Chaudhry, have also joined the party with their consent or have been forced.
Ishaq Khan Khakwani, a close associate of Jahangir Tareen, appeared on ARY News’ ‘Off the Record’ programme the same night, where he said, “A place was kept on the stage for Fawad Chaudhry sahib but maybe he did not consider it suitable for himself.
