Pakistan cricket great Javed Miandad has been shifted to a local hospital in Karachi after his health deteriorated on Friday.

The 1992 World Cup winner was taken to a nearby medical facility after he suddenly collapsed.

In a video message, the 65-year-old said that his illness was not serious.

“I heard that people were worried about my health but I would like to clarify that I only came to the hospital for a checkup after a mild headache,” Miandad told Aaj News. “There is nothing to worry about and I will go back home soon.”

Miandad, who is also famous for his last-ball six, played 124 Tests and 233 ODIs for the Men in Green. He also captained the side in 1996 Cricket World Cup before hanging up the boots in the same year.
