In the middle of uncertainty, finally Elon Mush has some good news for Twitter users, as the company would be sharing revenue with creators.

That is right, if you are a creator, now you can earn on Twitter.

Here is a caveat, the revenue share is only for a few among millions of users, however, you can avail of this too.

In the follow-up tweet, the Space X founder made it clear that the offer is only available to “Twitter Blue Verified subscribers”.

To avail of this opportunity, you have to be subscribed to Twitter Blue. Currently, it will cost you $8 per month if acquired directly via its site or $11 per month from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, but the cheapest version is an annual subscription directly from Twitter for $84.

It’s unclear how many viral tweets it would take to pay that off, but it could be difficult given Twitter’s rocky relationship with advertisers right now.

How to become a Twitter Blue subscriber

There are five simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the Profile menu on your app or the ‘…’ on Twitter.com.

  2. Select Twitter Blue.

  3. Select the Subscribe button.

  4. If you haven’t already, you’ll be prompted to verify your phone number.

  5. Then, follow the in-app purchase instructions for iOS or Android and confirm your subscription payment on the web.

How to check you are a Twitter Blue Subscriber

  1. Navigate to the Profile menu on your app or ‘…’ on twitter.com.

  2. Select Twitter Blue.

  3. You will see an Active status badge with a green check to indicate you’re enrolled in Twitter Blue.
