NED student shot dead during mugging in Karachi

A student of Karachi’s NED University of Engineering and Technology was allegedly shot dead by robbers for resisting a robbery on Thursday evening.

According to the police the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Bilal Nasir. He was shot dead by unknown suspected robbers after he resisted during a robbery.

Police said that Bilal was sitting with some university students at a hotel outside the university when two armed men arrived there and tried to snatch cash, mobile phones, and other valuables. However, Bilal resisted the robbery and the robbers shot at him, killing him on the spot.

According to the police, the robbers shot two bullets, one bullet hit the youth in the chest and the other in the leg.

Meanwhile, Arsalan, the brother of the deceased, told the media that Bilal was the youngest brother and that he was shot dead by the killers after he refused to hand over the mobile phone.
