Pakistan gets first woman accountability court judge
CJP approves Justice Uzma Akhter Chughtai's appointment
Justice Uzma Akhter Chughtai has become the first woman in Pakistan to be appointed as a judge of the country’s accountability court.
The appointment was made Monday after the post of the judge in Lahore’s accountability court number four fell vacant due to the transfer of the judge.
The notification of Justice Chughtai’s appointment has been issued after the approve of the chief justice of Pakistan.
Justice Chughtai was serving as district and sessions judge in Lahore’s consumer court.
