Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the world following an explosive interview where he claimed to be ‘betrayed’ by Manchester United.

The snippets of Piers Morgan’s interview titled ‘90 minutes with Cristiano Ronaldo’ are making rounds around the globe where the iconic striker made the shocking revelations.

The interview will be aired on coming Wednesday and Thursday. The journalist believes that a lot of people will be more sympathetic towards Ronaldo by the end of the interview.

That leaves us to big question, is this the end of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United?

The fallout of the interview has already started as Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag reportedly told the club management that Ronaldo should never play for the Red Devils again.

It is expected the 37-year-old may face a fine of a maximum of two weeks wages.

United put out a statement saying the club would, “consider its response after the full facts have been established,” although the facts seem to be pretty clear right now.

According to ESPN though, Ten Hag held a meeting with co-chairman Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough on Monday, delaying his holiday, to discuss the issue.

The report claims that former Ajax manager wanted a motivated Ronaldo to help the club securing a sport in the top four and cup competitions. However he is unwilling to ‘sacrifice’ club unity in order to keep the former Real Madrid striker around and is willing to see him go even if a replacement can’t be brought in.

In the ongoing season, the all time men’s international top goalscorer has only started four Premier League games in the current campaign.
