Former caretaker premier Mir Balakh Sher Mazari passes away

He had been ill for a long time and was admitted to a private hospital

Former caretaker premier Sardar Mir Balakh Sher Mazari on Friday passed away at the age of 95 in Lahore.

The senior politician had been ill for a long time and was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore for treatment.

Mazari was appointed caretaker prime minister in 1993. He remained MNA and MPA on several occasions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over Mazari’s death.

“The nation will remember the services of Mir Balakh Sher Mazari for a long time,” the premier said in a condolence message.

Commiserating with the bereaved family, the Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul.
