Terrorism case against me should be dismissed as I am innocent: Imran Khan

PTI chief submits his reply to the JIT in the terrorism case for his remarks against a female judge

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan has submitted his written reply to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for the second time in the terrorism case for his remarks against a female judge and senior police officials.

Imran Khan’s statement was submitted by his lawyer Intizar Hussain Panjutha to the JIT at the Margalla police station. The PTI chief, in his reply, denied any kind of terrorism in his speech at Islamabad’s F-9 Park rally.

“I have been the Prime Minister of Pakistan, how can I incite anyone to commit terrorism,” he mentioned.

He said the government arrested Dr Shahbaz Gill and tortured him in custody which was proven in court.

Imran Khan pleaded that he was innocent, so the case filed against him should be dismissed.

Earlier Islamabad Police issued a notice to the PTI chief for failing to appear before the JIT in the terrorism case.

The former prime minister had been booked in a case with terror clauses after he had stated in a public rally that they would not spare the judge who had approved the remand of Imran Khan’s chief of staff, Shahbaz Gill.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered PTI Chief Imran Khan to join the police investigation in a terrorism case registered against him for allegedly threatening a female judge and top officials of Islamabad police.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan said in a tweet that the “’imported govt and its handlers” were desperately moving on minus 1 formula.

“Tomorrow our Gujranwala jalsa will be last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement. I will announce the next critical phase at the jalsa,” the PTI chief added
