PTI describes alleged audio tape as ‘cut, paste’

Party leader Asad Umar says Tarin only called for relief for provinces amid floods

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf described the alleged leaked audio tape of Shaukat Tarin on the IMF backdoor discussion as “cut and paste”, a practice which according to them has been rife in the past.

“The is a trend to cut and paste… earlier it was video now it was the audio,” PTI leader Asad Umar said while addressing a press conference, alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra, in Islamabad on Monday. “This is not the first time. They do such things.”

The alleged audio tape also has an apparent conversation with Taimur.

“But, even what has apparently been leaked. What Tarin Sb was saying

“There is nothing wrong with the conversation between Tarin and Taimur,” Umar said.
