Zakir and Asmat Jaffer, the parents of the man accused of murdering Noor Mukaddam in Islamabad on July 20 in Islamabad, have posted a condolence note in Dawn.

They were devastated and grief stricken by the brutal murder and condemned "this unimaginably heinous act."

The notice does not mention their son.

On Tuesday, the extended paternal and maternal families, the Jaffers and Adamjees, released condolence notes for Noor and condemned the act. They also disassociated themselves from Zahir Jaffer.

Zahir is currently in police custody, his remanded extended by another three days by court yesterday.

His parents on Monday were remanded for two weeks and shifted to Adiala Jail. They have been charged with abetting the murder.
