Former Justice appointed to hear players appeals

Former Justice appointed to hear players appealsA retired justice will in next 10 days, begin hearing appeals from leading cricketers against bans and fines imposed on them by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Tafazzul Rizvi, PCB's legal adviser, said former justice Irfan Qadir will be hearing players appeals. ‘PCB Governing Board sent name of Justice (retd) Irfan Qadir to hear players appeal. The hearing will start within ten days,’ he added.
Last month PCB imposed fines and penalties on seven leading international cricketers following disciplinary problems during Australian tour.
Former captain Mohammad Yousuf & Younis Khan were banned, Shoaib Malik, who recently married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza in Hyderabad, was banned for one year and fined Rs 2 million, all-rounder Rana Navedul-Hasan, who appealed early this month, was handed same fine and punishment. Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal & Umar Akmal were also fined.
Penalties came after inquiry by a committee set up to investigate Pakistan's dismal performance on tour of Australia, where they lost all three Tests, five one-day matches and a Twenty20 international. Except for Yousuf, who decided to retire, all players filed appeals against PCB punishments.
